What is Rigid Foam Board Insulation?

Rigid foam board is a rigid polyisocyanurate or polystyrene insulation product that is formed into insulation sheets. Its lightweight, rigid, styrofoam-like panels can easily be cut down to size for a snug fit for any insulation project. It has a high R-value (the level of an insulation material’s thermal resistance) of R-6 per inch for polyisocyanurate and R-5 per inch for polystyrene.
